The aim of this section is to provide a lay, albeit curious, public with basics in genetics, genomics and genetic engineering.
This should facilitate the exploring of fascinating aspects of cutting-edge research in these fields.
Particular attention will be given to the activities of the NCCR Frontiers in Genetics.
Our subjects will be developed and presented progressively, each of them on a dedicated page of this section.
Extensive illustrations, with an emphasis on clarity and simplicity, will be displayed.
A summary of the protein synthesis process is now available, with links allowing to access different levels of genetic complexity.
